Unless you've been living under a rock, I'm pretty sure you've heard of this little big show called "Game of Thrones". I've been hearing about this show for years. From co-workers to friends, many have requested that I watched the medieval based tale. After eight years and a new HBO account, I was finally able to see what the hype was all about. I tend to stay away from the hype and that always manages to make me miss out on the best things in life. Rumors of this show's quality and overall reception of it almost made me not give this show a chance. But after two weeks of non-stop binge watching, I can now say that I am a "Game of Throne's supporter". Without giving away too many spoilers a brief rundown of the show is that everyone is fighting for the crown which represents the highest level of royalty in Westeros. You have a family coming from money but having a lot of mental issues that proves wealth cannot provide happiness, a family of righteous individuals who learned that doing good doesn't always rewards and a young girl with no family who proved herself to the world. This show is monumental for two things. First, it is known for its quality. This show was the first of its kind. On paper it was a world reminiscent to 'Lord of the Rings' and it was almost impossible to fit a story this grand onto the little screen. However, they made it work. Week after week this show's fan base grew because it was able to do something that no other show has. Offer both quality and quantity. Second, this show is known for its portrayal of strong women. Eight years and who would've guessed that the main two people going after each other for the throne at the end would be two women. You have queens, witches, ladies, female knights, and assassins- further proving that women can do it all.
I related this show back to my own life. For one, rebuilding this website I had to learn what it was that I previously did wrong. After fully taking down my page and having time to reflect, I realized my posts' were either drawn on quantity or less focused on quality. Taking a page out of this book, I managed to sit down and rethink new content and how they can affect the changes in updating my blog. These changes allowed me to come up with more "me" based content. Content that focuses on what I like, oppose to what others would want to read. Also, content that I build from the bottom up. I also related to the show by acknowledging my place as a woman in the streetwear/music journalism industry. I am in my own battlefield for the thrown of respect. Either being looked at as a too emotional of women or a young timid girl, which I am neither. This show has allowed me to watch amazing women shut down men with action. They both came from being the wife of someone important to being someone of importance. Reflecting on how being a woman in this industry, I have to prove my actions are committed and driven by both mind and heart. The show has a phrase that is repeated constantly, 'Winter is Coming". To me, this represented that eventually, life is going to have a change of either negative or positive movements. It is up to us to be prepared by ignoring the minuscule details. Focus on the quality of life and the number of things we can do to make our lives better. For me, that was reopening this blog. I had new ideas and its amazing to see them all placed into motion as soon as the winter holidays began. This opening allowed me to continue posting amazing content for the year and build stories and projects throughout the next year. My winter allowed me to grow and create. It gave me self-doubt and anxiety, which I transformed into confidence and manifestation. When the winter comes in your life will you be ready?
Basically, I give this story a 10/10 and I'm excited to say that it returns on April 14th, 2019. Would you be watching? Also since my favorite show is coming to an end, do you guys have any show recommendations for me to try? Comment Below

For Day 3 Coachella, I got the chance to finally visit the big festival. In celebration of colors, freedom and life- the Coachella Music and Art Festival was created. To honor this tradition of music and celebration, I wanted a Coachella look that screamed loud and proud. (More information about styling for Coachella is attached to my Day 1 post.)
This was by far my favorite look from the weekend as a whole! I found this two piece set at a is it to my friends pop up shop at the Sunday Melrose Trading Post. My friend Londyn Douglas has a brand called The Club, where she reconstructs vintage clothing. Her brand led her to a partnership with NY Laurent, a fashion house. The two designers created this piece with the idea of disco and fun. When I saw this piece I knew that this was my Coachella outfit. With an outfit so loud I wanted my shoes and accessories to be subtle. I went for my classic rose gold Reeboks because of their comfort and color. Like stated previously, choosing shoes for a festival can be extremely difficult. These pairs are perfect because they're not too new ,but they are still stylish. Closing the look are my two festival essentials: a bandanna which I use to block dust and glasses to block the sunny view to see my favorite performer.

One of the best parts of festival season is choosing an outfit for the occasion. Outsiders would be surprised by the time and effort that comes into choosing your Coachella look. With factors such as weather and comfort, finding the perfect look can sometimes take a month. Of course, being a professional procrastinator, I had absolutely no time to pull together my dream look for the 2019 Coachella. Lucky for me there is access to a lot of professional and reliable online retail boutiques that provides great last-minute looks for the occasion. To keep this story sweet & simple here is a quick rundown on every item I wore for Day 1 and why is it an important staple of festival season.
First, I'm pretty sure everyone is wondering, why I am wearing a bathing suit. Taking place in Indio, Coachella is a large target of the sun's effect. Temperatures are always at a high during the festival, especially with the large gathering of people along for the ride. Also because of the location, there are several pool parties that are thrown throughout the weekend. So, it always clutches to have your bathing suit on hand and a small collection of your cutest from day to night swimwear. To top the swimsuit for a nice cover-up, I found this netted neon dress from Misguided. Like stated before the heat at the festival could either make or break your trip. So, to avoid it wearing something netted or mesh will do the trick by keeping you cool. Shoes are another difficult staple to handle for concerts and festival. It's difficult to find the balance of shoes that don't look too good but still stylish. The goal is to go for a classic color shoe such as black or nude. The festival grounds are covered with dirt and dust as well as a large number of people who will most likely step on your shoes. Converse and vans are the most reliable shoes during festival season, so stack up on a couple of pairs next time you are prepping. Last but not least, my handy dandy fanny pack. This bag is my go-to for every indoor concert. I love holding on to a bag without actually having to hold on to it for over two hours. My best suggestion is to find a fanny pack that fits all of your small festival essentials such as wallets, phone, portable charger, gum, and chapstick.
