Friday night, Forever 21 celebrated International Women's Day in style with an exclusive party in Los Angeles.
March 8th- In celebration of the Forever 21 x International Women's Day collection, a range of female artists joined Forever 21 for an exclusive concert to celebrate female empowerment at the El Rey Theater on March 8th. Socialites, models and creatives partied all night to tunes provided by DJ Softest Hard, DJ Mados and DJ Jadaboo. With passionate performances from fierce women such as: Natti Natsha, Bia, and more; This was a women's day that no one will ever forget!
Technically the month of March is National Women's History Month, however, the 8th is the dedicated date for International Women's Day. Being a leading retailer of women's fashion, Forever 21 decided to kick off the holiday with a collaborative project. Forever 21 created a capsule collection that promotes women empowerment. "Queendom", "Feminist" and "I Am Woman" are just a few of the phrases that are printed along the many Forever 21 products. For each piece sold, Forever 21 will donate $1 to Girls Inc., with a minimum donation of $50k. This non-profit organization partner various schools with different companies that elevate a pro-girl environment. Talk about fashion for a cause!
To further the campaign's movement, Forever 21 used this occasion as an opportunity to connect with their music fans. They collaborated with 10 female musicians from various genres to model the collection on their social media posts. The musicians includes: Natti Natasha, Gabby Barrett, Dounia Tazi, Ari Lennox, Kassi Ashton, Bia, Yumi, Madds, Chloe Kohanski. and Margie Ashcroft.
In honor of Women's Day, the El Rey Theater was decked out in pink decor . Opening the event, guests got the opportunity to walk the pink carpet with photographers shooting at their way. Entering into the theater, El Cartel provided free tacos and Babe provided their tasty alcoholic drinks. The lobby of the location was decorated with photos from the campaign and three interactive backgrounds. The first background was sponsored by Afterpay and Made by Her. The second one featured pink crystal beads hanging from the ceiling. The last background was the most popular of the bunch. A wall of white flowers, pink roses and a large mirror that reflected "girl influence". For entertainment, guest took several photos at the interactive walls and at the digital photo booth. A highlight of the night was the "Cash Grab" game. The Cash Cube Money Machine captivated the crowd, driving them to participate for a chance to grab Forever 21's customized cash, which converted to $4 per free clothing item. Kicking off the performances for the night was Dominican singer and songwriter Natti Natasha. Other performances were provided by rapper Bia, singer/activist Dounia, American Idols' Gabby Barrett, Kassi Ashton, Chloe Kohanski, Yumi and Margie Plus.
The collection officially launched on February 21st, and features pieces for women, men and children, which ranges from $4 to $30. Shop the Forever 21 x Girls Inc.
